Segunda ronda electoral plantea nuevos retos a departamentos de prensa

El domingo 4 de febrero fue un día poco común para los departamentos de prensa del Partido Acción Ciudadana (PAC) y Restauración Nacional (PRN), pues esa noche iniciaron una carrera que los lleva a enfrentar días de consultas, cuestionamientos y preparación de conferencias, para sus respectivos partidos y candidatos, que ahora encaran una segunda ronda electoral.

Se trata de dos partidos con cargas diferentes. El oficialista con el peso de la continuidad pues durante su último año de gestión fue fuertemente criticado por casos de corrupción, incrementos en los impuestos y un alto nivel de inseguridad ciudadana.

Y por otro lado, un partido emergente que, sin figurar al inicio de la campaña, fue ganando peso ante la población conservadora por sus fuertes declaraciones contra los Programas para la Afectividad y Sexualidad Integral del Ministerio de Educación y la posible salida de la Corte Interamericana de Derechos Humanos, luego del fallo que imponía el derecho a la unión entre personas del mismo sexo.

Dos candidatos cuya principal carrera profesional es el periodismo, uno más enfocado hacia las ciencias políticas y el otro a la comunicación de masas, con características diferentes, pero ambos con el mismo objetivo: llegar a la silla presidencial.

Oficinas de prensa inaccesibles

Primera Plana intentó contactar con las oficinas de prensa de ambos partidos para conocer acerca de su trabajo diario ante la segunda ronda electoral pero ninguna de las fracciones contestó a nuestras inquietudes.

Se contactó al PRN haciendo uso de la plataforma en múltiples ocasiones, así como correos electrónicos y números de teléfono, pero no se obtuvo respuesta. En el caso del PAC se pudo conversar con el encargado de prensa del partido, Álvaro Jiménez, quien aseguró que iba a dar respuesta a nuestras preguntas por medio del correo electrónico, debido a sus ocupaciones, pero al cierre de edición no se recibieron las respuestas.

En esta ocasión, algunas de las preguntas que se plantearon a las oficinas de prensa del PAC, y que no tuvieron respuesta, fueron las siguientes:

• ¿Estaban preparados para la noticia de la segunda ronda?

• ¿Podría describirme la logística que conllevó las elecciones recién pasadas? ¿Tienen el mismo nivel responsabilidad o sienten más presión el haber pasado a segunda ronda, nuevamente?

• ¿Cuál fue la estrategia del departamento de prensa para la preparación ante consulta sobre la continuación del gobierno pasado, referente a casos de corrupción como el sonado "cementazo"?

• El apoyo por ex ministros y figuras reconocidas a su partido ha sido vital para que la brecha entre Fabricio Alvarado y Carlos Alvarado (según encuestas) se acorte ¿cómo ha aprovechado esto su departamento?

• ¿Cómo le han sacado provecho a la agrupación que se conformó llamada “Coalición por Costa Rica”?

• Cómo departamento de prensa. ¿Cuál es el mayor reto que enfrentan en esta segunda ronda?

Lo cierto es que el pueblo de Costa Rica ahora tiene la responsabilidad de elegir al próximo gobernante de entre dos candidatos con ideologías muy diferentes, casi opuestas, por lo que cada vez es más importante informarse de manera profunda y objetiva acerca de las propuestas de cada uno, aprovechando las futuras oportunidades de debate y discusión.

Unlike static balancing, dynamic balancing takes place while the rotor is in motion. It accounts for imbalances that create forces in different planes along the rotor's length and, when uncontrolled, lead to vibrations during rotation. This type of balancing requires the identification and adjustment of mass distribution in two different planes to counteract the forces generated by unbalanced mass. Dynamic balancing is essential for multi-axle rotors and larger rotating equipment like turbines.

Dynamic Shaft Balancing Procedure

To achieve effective turbine balancing, a digital portable balancing and vibration analysis device, such as Balanset-1A, is utilized. This device is equipped with advanced features for dynamic two-plane balancing. The procedure begins with initial vibration measurements to establish a baseline.

Step 1: Initial Vibration Measurement

The rotor is mounted on a balancing machine and connected to vibration sensors. As the rotor is operated, the vibrations are monitored and recorded to determine the initial state of balance.

Step 2: Calibration Weight Installation

A known calibration weight is applied to one side of the rotor in the first plane, and the rotor is activated again. The changes in vibration levels are captured, allowing the operator to gauge the impact of the added weight.

Step 3: Weight Adjustment

Next, the calibration weight is repositioned to another point on the rotor, effectively shifting the distribution of mass again. This process is repeated to obtain measurements that inform the necessary adjustments for balance.

Step 4: Final Weight Installation

Using data collected throughout the measurements, the vibration analyzer calculates the exact weights and their positions needed for rotor balance. Following this, corrective weights are installed based on the analysis results. The rotor is then re-tested, and successful balancing is confirmed by greatly reduced vibration levels.

Importance of Angle Measurement

Precision in angle measurement when installing corrective weights is critical. The angle at which weights are applied directly affects the corrective forces needed to achieve balance. The measurement involves the rotor's direction of rotation and the reference points established during the trial weight tests.

Calculation for Trial Weight Mass

Calculating the trial weight mass is vital for accurate balancing. The formula provides guidance on how much weight to use during the trial phase, factoring in rotor mass, installation radius, and speed. This ensures that the adjustments made will have the anticipated effect on balance.

Correction Planes and Settings

Correction plans refer to where the mass adjustments need to be made. With the use of systems like the Balanset-1A, operators can clearly identify specific planes relative to installed vibration sensors, enabling precise balancing adjustments to prevent vibrations in operating turbines.

Benefits of Effective Turbine Balancing

Proper turbine balancing results in optimal rotor performance, significantly reducing the risk of mechanical failures due to excessive vibrations. This enhances operational efficiency, prolongs the lifespan of equipment, and minimizes maintenance costs. Additionally, a well-balanced turbine ensures smooth operational performance, contributing to overall productivity in various industrial settings.
